Two Basic Types of Limited Medical Plans:

Expense Reimbusement - Pays Doctors and other medical bills based on actual expenses of the medical bills, similar to Major Medical Plans. This plan usually offers a Doctor Visit Copay of a low amount, for example, $25, and often offers co-insurance after a deductible of, for example, 80%.

Indemnity Plans - These pay a fix amount for a medical expense, for example $500/day per hospital visit, $75 for a Doctor's Office Visit and a fix amount per a surgical schdule.
